It is estimated that an astounding 10-14% of the Indian population is affected by infertility. The problem is not gender-specific. Both men and women can be affected by infertility through no fault of their own. Undergoing tests at a good hospital like Sanjeevani can give you a clearer picture. More than 80% of infertility cases can be managed with simple and routine treatments. The rest can opt for treatments such as IVF, egg donation, or surrogacy.
Here at Sanjeevani Multispecialty, with our dedicated and highly specialized doctors and staff, we care for you and the health of your loved ones. Starting a family is a big responsibility and should be taken with the right health care system.
We follow protocol-based management in patients with fertility disorders. We holistically assess the parents, both husband and wife with regard to their health issues before coming to a conclusion about infertility. The medical condition of the patients, the hormonal status of the patients, the psychological health of the patients, etc. are assessed prior to a specific assessment of fertility disorder. These patients may require blood investigations in the form of hormonal assessments, blood routine examination, liver and kidney function, thyroid function, assessment of blood sugar level, etc. The patients may also require an ultrasound examination to assess the status of the uterus and ovaries of women. The male counterparts will require physical examinations as well as specific examinations with reference to infertility and sometimes may require evaluation for male infertility under urologist or surgical expertise. All these facilities are available at our hospital.
The interventional therapies include IUI for the expectant mothers and fathers. In the case of oligospermia to improve the male fertility, the male counterpart may require surgical procedures like varicocelectomy. In case of issues affecting the ovary and uterus in the expectant mother, they might require laparoscopic assessment for the ovarian status, the status of the uterus, the patency of the fallopian tubes, a pelvic evaluation, sometimes procedures like PCOD drilling. If the mothers have fibroid in the uterus which is the cause of infertility they might require surgical procedures for the same. If they have follicles in the ovary or endometriosis, they might require laparoscopic surgical procedures for the same. All these assessments and procedures are regularly performed in the dept. of reproductive medicine at Sanjeevani hospital.
